I was born
and raised in Stouffville, Ontario. I was the second youngest
child born to John and Joan Pugh. My brother's name is Tim and
I have two sisters as well, Laurie and Angie. Being raised in
a Christian, Church-going family, I knew from an early age what
it was to be a Christian. This culminated in my coming to Christ
when I was four years old.
Although I
had accepted Christ throughout both public and part of high school,
I didn't live like it. The seeds of Christianity were planted
in my life again when I was asked by a man named Byron Stewart
( the music director of our church ), to be part of a youth singing
ensemble at my home church, Springvale Baptist. That time in my
life was great and I really learned a lot from Byron and the rest
of the young people.
I re-committed
my life to Christ while attending the Steve Hurst School of Music
in Nashville, Tennessee. After returning home from Nashville,
I began a solo ministry that took me to many interesting places.
Still, I had always wanted to be part of a singing group like
I was at my home church. A solo ministry is great, but the camaraderie
and fellowship of a group just can't be beat.
It was while
I was attending the National Quartet Convention that I began to
seriously think about getting into a group. God's timing is perfect!
John Ross was on the trip and some months later I received a phone
call from Bryan. The rest, as they say is history! The time that
I spend with these guys, I wouldn't trade for anything. I've loved
every minute of it.
I'm now married.
My wife, Cyndi and I have two beautiful children, Julia and Daniel.
We look forward to what the Lord has in store for us as a family,
as we are part of this ministry.
